Bali - Ubud

We're off to Bali in late September. Hoorah! Besides beaching and diving we'll spend a bit of time in Ubud and wondered if anyone can recommend a nice hotel that's within a long walk of the centre. We've stayed at the Alam Sari a few times but I'm under pressure from Mrs B to go more upmarket (but not Aman level). Any thoughts?
