what are the best Thai and Japanese restaurants?

I love Thai and Japanese food, but Thai Express and all the fast food Japanese food won't cut it.
Any suggestions?

Hi Nelly, I particularly like Patara Fine Thai Cuisine located at 03-14 at Tanglin Mall. The food there is really good although the portion is small. Enjoy!

Lemon 3 at Bencoolen Road, beside Burlington Square, is the best authentic one. Its unpretentious and only SGD 9.90 for a set buffet. Best in town.

The Wasabi at the Oriental Hotel (close to Esplanade) is a great japanese restaurant, it may be a little pricey but worth the visit. They also have some early bird dinner meals.
