Question about CM

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about cervical mucus (CM). I have CM very noticeably for 5 days every month. When trying to conceive is it best to BD before CM appears or during my 5 days?

it will depend on what type of CM you are talking about for those 5 days. Throughout your cycle there is usually some form of CM.

as you are approaching ovulation, your cervix creates fertile CM. This can range from woman to woman and can either be watery or what they describe as Egg white CM. This egg white CM most resembles semen and provides a great medium to house sperm. This can be important if you BD prior to ovulation.

Egg white CM is stretchy and slippery. if you have this for 5 days according to the book "taking charge of your fertilty" then you should BD each day you see fertile CM such as this.

Well, my period was due last friday and it's still not here. I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I have an appt with my dr tmrw so we'll see.
