Nice things for pregnant Mummies
Posted by Foolonahill (377 days ago)
Hi, My wife is 15 weesk pregnant, and I want to spoil her. What would you Mummies-to-be love from your husbands?
It is not her 1st time around, but I really would like to make her feel very special.
I have seen pregnancy-pillows that apparently are very comfortable for women to wrap themselves around to stay comfy & sleep well. Are these good?
Also any other ideas greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!

Pregnancy pillows are good for support on the belly when it gets big, so yep that's a nice gift. Maybe a couple of hours at a beautician, like a pedicure (it might be getting hard for her to reach her feet!) or I found when I was pregnant with my first, my husband gently rubbed my lower back at night. Definately a foot massage (my husband has an aversion to feet unfortunately, so that won't be happening for me!). I think you are lovely to be wanting to spoil her, she is very lucky. I am still in my first trimester and feeling very sick, so being left alone with time to myself is the greatest gift for me!

Thanks Specks. Seems you are lucky with the back rubs as well. Any suggestions for good places to shop for Mummies to be? Was thinking Bumps To Babes in Ap Le Chau (?) may be a good place to start...

B2B in either Aple chau or Pedder st building - sort of the same stock really. As for present - there are a few spas in HK (incl hotel ones) who do pregnancy massage (with the chair with the cut out for the bump) - I know I would have loved one when I was pregnant!

ldsllvn - thanks for that. Will head over to Pedder Street tomorrow. That where Shanghai Tang is? She already has spa packages at Aveda, so hopefully they can do pregnancy spa's for her. Will check

A relaxing holiday but if you can't get out of the country, check into the nicest hotel you can think of/afford locally, pamper her with a spa treatment, a delicious meal, a wonderful night's sleep on glorious bed/sheets...believe me, it'll be awhile before you get to do all that once the baby arrives!

it is great as it's just like a regular pillow but really long. i noticed also that the body pillows you can buy here at maternity stores are not the same. the ones here are shorter - shaped like bananas. didn't seem as comfy to me. :)

Thanks Sashimi Girl. Does it cost much to ship? Can imagine would be very high charges for such a bulky item
