Worms in Swimming Pool

Yesterday when i was swimming in my swimming pool i was totally shocked after watching maggots and worms in my swimming pools. The reason is that i haven't had them since i m having swimming pools. I am worried as my wife and children uses swimming pool a lot of swimming and entertaining purpose. Can you provide any tip how can i get rid of them from my swimming pools
