Public Schools in Singapore?

We are a asian/western familiy. We might be relocating from Hong Kong to Singapore. In Hong Kong, our son is going to an ESF school, which is a government subsidized school. School fees are lower compared to private ones and there is no debenture.

Question. Are there any similiar public (or semi-public) schools in Singapore? Can anyone make a recommendation?

There are many public/government schools in Singapore. in fact i think about 90% of the students here come from government schools. It all depends on the location of the school that you want (either an elite/neighbourhood school). If your son is still in primary school (7-12yrs old) it doesn't matter where he goes to. most primary schools have relative the same standard.
