Making new friends ion Singapore - Without Kids !!

We are about to move to Singapore in May from Hong Kong and whilst we have been here I ahve made quite a nice circle of friends. I joined the YWCA and THe Aussie Womens club. The Y do lots of courses - cooking, history, language, yoga etc and the aussie women organise golf and great walking tours.
I am having trouble finding anything online in Singapore that is similar.... how do expat wives who don't have kids meet opthers in the same situation..... ???
Will probably join the British Club but wondered if there are also any part time study centres ??

well I spend 3 years in hong kong. Now I am back to Singapore. I do have a group of expats that came over here with me. They are a mix of UK, france, and also japanese. We have a gathering once a while and we love wine. In Singapore maybe like what you mention, YWCA and British clubs are good ideas.

There are quite a broad range of courses in Singapore - the beauty being that many of the courses are held in English so there is no need to be part of a particularly English speaking group.

You can search what you're interested in directly and join courses through them - ie, i've been doing cake decorating courses through several different cake/food places.

I see from your post that you're already here - how are you finding it?

I miss the ease of meeting people in HK (after 15 yrs there) but have still found some nice/fun things to do in Sing!
