I may be moving to Singapore in February, and wondered what your views were on the necessity of a car.
I will be a family of 4, and our children will be aged approximately 5 months and 21 months old by the time we get out there (second due in october this year!).
Do you think my wife will need a car if shopping/on outings with the children, or is the public transport more commonly used?

Thanks Ed, but after surfing the sight for ages and falling in love w/ several cars, my husband pointed out that all the cars are in Hong Kong and we've just moved to Singapore! Shame.

Have you heard about sino motor ? It sell a lot of Japanese cars, maybe you can see their product with the reasonable price. My friend took a car from that dealer a week ago.
