I need to move out of my apartment after 2 months as my landlord has not finished the flat as promised. The only phrasing in the tenancy agreement that refers to an early termination is as follows:
"Upon the expiration or sooner determination of the Term hereby created to deliver up vacant possession of the Premises unto the landlord in good and tenantable condition and to repair or compensate any damage caused to the Premises"
Any thoughts on what that means?
Is there any support for tenants in HK who find themselves bound to immoral landlords? Do tenants have any come back at all or is the law totally on the side of the landlord? Thanks
(I am based in Hong Kong)
