Netball Singapore was inaugurated in November 1962 with 23 clubs. The objective of the Association was to develop and control netball in Singapore.
Much progress has been made over the last 30 years. In 1999 there are 106 registered clubs and 30 associate members as well as netball in most Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges.
One of the major highlights of netball in Singapore was the hosting of the World Netball Championships in 1983.
Netball Singapore is part of the Asian Federation of Netball Associations. The other country members of this Association are India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Maldives, Australia and Sri Lanka. The Asian Federation organises Championships for both senior and youth teams.
Netball Singapore is also a member of the International Federation of Netball Associations.
