MobileOne (M1) - owned by a consortium comprising the Keppel Group, Singapore Press Holdings and Great Eastern Telecommunications (a joint-venture between Cable & Wireless plc and Pacific Century CyberWorks) - was formed in August 1994 to enter the rapidly expanding mobile telecommunications market in Singapore.
