Annerly provides a wide range of courses for helpers caring for infants and babies. We understand the often unbearable thought of handing your newborn baby to a secondary caregiver whom you many not know much about. Let us help you. Amongst the staff members at Annerley, collectively, we have about 55 years of experience of leaving our own children with helpers. Every day, we are challenged by the often elusive, work and life balance that includes helpers watching our children and running our households. We are passionate about helpers receiving the right training, with a firm eye on safety, as we have personally seen the difference this makes.

We empower migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong with the tools to overcome financial difficulties and achieve their goals and dreams.Although domestic workers may earn higher salaries in Hong Kong than in their home countries, a lack of financial literacy leaves them ill-equipped to deal with the enormous pressures on their finances, including recruitment debt, family obligations, extortionate interest rates or scams. Enrich graduates learn how to: Plan and save for the future We believe that domestic workers can use their time in Hong Kong to plan for a future with greater financial security. Communicate effectively with family/friends Our graduates learn to withstand financial pressures from family and friends, as well as engage family in working towards goals together. Make informed financial decisions How do you spot scams? What are the risks of investing? How do you write a business plan? Our graduates learn to make wise judgements to plan and protect their finances.

Hong Kong Red Cross provides a first aid training programme specially designed for domestic helpers. Their programme aims at heightening the domestic helpers’ alertness in injuries and household accidents prevention as well as enabling them in providing proper first aid treatment and emergency handling. The health education team at Matilda International Hospital is dedicated to helping domestic helpers and care givers enhance basic skills and knowledge on child care. We run two courses, one on child care, and the other on first aid.

Our carefully crafted courses cover a wide range of areas from helping you, your partner and even your domestic helper build your confidence with courses ranging from child care and emergency response, to antenatal classes as well as Paediatric First Aid & CPR courses. We uplift lives with online education and community support Our non-profit organisation helps migrant domestic workers and underprivileged communities break the cycle of poverty and build the lives they want for themselves, their families and their countries. Why we exist Our current focus is on migrant domestic workers, many of whom despite many years working abroad far from their families and children, continue to exist in poverty. Our ambition is to provide a solution at scale to this regional economic and social issue and make their sacrifices working abroad far from home worth it. What we do Our mission is to enable migrant domestic workers to transform their lives by unleashing the combined power of online education and community support – and as such make migration successful. We do so by improving their life skills and their vocational skills. We also work to support local employers to build healthy win-win work relationships with their domestic workers. What’s unique about us is that Uplifters is a truly community-based organisation. Our students join online class chats to discuss the lessons with their peers. These discussions are facilitated by volunteer alumni domestic workers who went through a training program. Not only does it make the content more relevant to participants, but it also shows participants role models of what can be achieved and therefore increases the chance that the knowledge they gain is transformed into action. The peer support is making our programs both scalable (without significantly increasing costs) and also impactful.
